Kristy Wilson is a research scientist at the Materials Discovery Research Institute. She supports both the accelerated methodologies and renewable energy groups. She focuses on developing novel porous materials for eco-remediation by utilizing high-throughput methodologies and developing proprietary technologies for energy storage.
Wilson brings more than a decade of industrial experience in renewable technologies and materials synthesis. Prior to joining the Materials Discovery team, Wilson held positions at Brewer Science, Honeywell UOP, Nalco/Ecolab, and Elevance Renewable Sciences. She led and supported a variety of projects involving zeolite and zeotype material synthesis and renewable energy technologies, including energy storage flow batteries, solar cells, water sensors & wind turbines. Her background has given her a broad range of experience in materials synthesis, characterization, scale-up, product development, and troubleshooting.
Wilson holds a B.A. in chemistry from Augustana College.
